When it comes to stressful things to do in your life, moving house is right up there.

Now, a new service offered through Cambridge based estate agents Bush Property Services, promises to make the whole house buying and selling scenario just that little bit easier.

Bush has teamed up with Time Lifestyle Management, Cambridge's premier concierge company, to offer a service that takes care of many of the things that make moving such hard work.

Whatever stage of the process you're at, Time can help.

At the beginning, when you're trying to make your property look its best, Time will come in, and suggest how to present your house and garden appropriately and make sure they both look immaculately clean, tidy and appealing.

Once the home is on the market, Time can 'house-sit' so you can maximise viewings, and, on move day itself, they'll manage the removal company to make sure your furniture arrives at your new house when you do. Time can also arrange insurance for the move, including for specialist items like fine art and wine.

Andrew Bush, a director of Bush, is extremely enthusiastic about the new service. "As estate agents, we're always trying to find ways to make our customers' lives easier and to add value to the service we offer. Although on the face of it an agent's job is simply to put a property on the market and sell it as effectively as possible, we like to try and offer as much guidance and support as possible.

"Time has experts that advise on how to present your house and garden, so it sells quickly, as well as the project management skills to make sure the move goes smoothly."

But Time can look after far more than the issues around buying, selling and moving. The company recognises that during the process customers need more support than usual so they've come up with a whole array of services designed to allow clients to get on with their lives without worrying about the small but important details.

As Sarah-jane Peck, Time's director explains, it's the little things that make a difference. "When you move, the list of things to do can seem a mile long. It's a huge, stressful distraction from the important business of buying and selling a house. Time can take all these jobs off your hands to offer you a certain amount of stress relief and allow you to retain your work life balance - and not forget something important in all the mayhem!

"We can close accounts and settle up with the newsagent and the milkman; be there when the gasman calls for a final reading; make sure there are some groceries in the fridge of your new house when you get there; check out the local amenities for you and arrange pet care.

"We'll make sure your new home is sparkling clean and all the shelves are up before you arrive. We can even get the decorators in so that when you turn up the house is exactly as you'd like it to be."

Time charges by the hour, with a limit agreed in advance. Responsibilities are also agreed at the outset.
